Will this work for a 86 ATC250R? Does it come with the cable adjuster also?

Do you have the part # for it?

If it will work on my R, I'll take it!

I had one on my 250R, and this particular one on my YZ hybrid which uses a YFZ450 throttle cable.

I didn't use the adjuster on my hybrid, but I think I still have it somewhere around when I had it on my 250R.

Is there a part # on the thumb throttle? I just want to know if yours was made to work on an R or a different quad, because Moose makes different models of thumb throttles for different atvs.

If yours was made for an R then I'll take it. I just wanted to make sure that I can adjust the throttle cable properly with your thumb throttle.

It's a universal throttle. I had the same one on a 250R, same engine as the trike. As far as I know they fit all ATV's. I bought this one about 3 years ago, before most of the different 450's were out. Like I said it came off of my hybrid, but is the exact same throttle that was on my 250R. When I ordered it, there was only one part number and it was listed as a universal thumb throttle, so yes in a way it was made for an R.

On my 250R it had a 38mm carb, and my hybrid it has 41mm FCR.

In your picture is that line on the housing a crack or scratch?

Scratch, no cracks, it's mint like I said it only has a couple rides on it. I built my hybrid in '05, and didn't ride it until '07 because I was gone for military training.
