i saw it was 48 almost 49 inches in width which is cool for mx but you think they will go 2 46 inch in width for xc people.

i dont think they will for this year i think they just wanted to release the r so they did it late but i think they will have 2 versions next year.

If you put 4+1 offset wheels on it you would get it down to around 47" in the front.

theres still just the 2009 yfz...it stayed at barely over 42 inches wide.

you'd just be missing about an inch of shock travel, .2 loss in compression, aluminum framing, and efi....if your racing xc your going to be fine without those things anyways. what more do you want?

naw dude ur confused the reg yfz is 46 inches wide its just over 42 inches tall, but im gunna say that is a really good point u just brought up maybe they do look at the reg yfz as their xc version for right now but i still think that their gunna come out with an sc version next year with a couple more bolt ons like good tires and beadlocks ect.

haha yea i meant 46 thanks for the correction

but personally i think the regular yfz in its 5th year of production is about as solid an xc quad as your goin to find, i prefer the carb myself.

For xc stick with whats proven. Theirs plenty of aftermarket parts out there and stock part are getting cheaper every day. I wouldnt touch the new YFZr for several years, because of the cost. Now if I had a bunch of $$$$$, well then maybe.:D
