better cam for a 400ex? xr400 vs stage 1 hc

the stage 1 hot cam or the xr 400 cam? which cam has better low,mid,top end? thanks.

If I remember Right the stage 1 cam is ment for low to mid range power and the stade 2 is for mid to top range power. But they also make a stage 3 cam as well not sure what it is for though.

you will see better gains from the stage 1 HC over the xr cam.

whats the price for a xr400 cam new anyways? I need more bottom end - mid and i'm not replacing my piston until it needs it. I would love to put a HRC cam in it but they are expensive

Its around $160. From what Ive heard, the stage 1 hotcam and HRC are pretty close. But like I said, Thats what ive heard.
