when you remove the stock dual arms at the ball joints, are there
any tricks to not damage the boots? when i did my 400 the boots
all tore when i used the pickle fork and don't want to do it again.

brandon put the stock swing arm out of its misery this weekend
(while in first!) so i figured i would do some powder coating, while
waiting for his suspension to come in. it should look kool when it's done;)

Don't know if it will work on a quad but on a car I always use to remove the nut and hit the knuckle hard with a hammer. It ussually would pop it off.

I haven't taken a DRR apart yet, but on a YFZ, I use a brass rod on the end of the threaded stud, and hit it with a hammer. The brass is softer than the steel so you don't mushroom the threads.

Motion Pro makes a tool for this, work on all quads damn near and its pretty cheap.

That's always worked for me....with a brass or copper hammer.
