CR250 iginition

I had noticed ESR sells these and I had read in the past Basllance ran this on his or some of his 250r's. I just got my first 250R, I dont ride it much it to me is in too good of shape to trash out. Anyways the 250 has a full esr motor 310 and powervalvve is there an easy way to tell which iginiion it has and 2nd what benefit does the Cr iginitioon add to the 250R, is it the iginition curve?

the easy way is to remove the stator cover. If you don't see a pickup bolted to the counter balance holder, then you have a cr igntion, also a really small flywheel will give it away.
