09 450r

the new 450r is EFI and has a new frame! any one have any pic's i just heard it awhen i for a tube for my pit bike today!

you are thinkin about the yamaha yfz450. it has EFI and a new frame, not the 450ER. but the pics of 09s are up on both their homepages.

the dumb *** at the honda dealer told me that was the honda! not the yamaha... theres the reason i dont like goin there THEY DONT KNOW ANYTHING!

i REALLY dont liek the new yfz...

its for the lt style seat,
i dont liek the bolts on the frame rails, the front end its like the Leager narrow frame and the Kawi KFX 450
i liked the older plastic.
and are they runnin the star cross in front too?

i liked the old one...

I dont like it either, its not very good lookin' IMO.

It's alot heavier too, something like 415lbs I think

the kfx450 narrow front end box design is the best front end design(stock 450 taleast) that i have ever seen. most travel longer a arms. its not weak either.

also the new yfz is just a copy of all the other quads. the aluminam frame bolt design from Can AM, ltr seat, etc. i just dont like it. but props to them for bringing it out to stay in the game. even though its not really a head turner.

yeah its not good lookin at all... i liked the yamaha motors... i dont know about this one now... but i have to say the best quad for 09 is the KTM... even though its alot more... your gettin alot more for your money...

i liked the old yamaha way more...
didnt honda do any changes to the 450r... to me its the same old 450r and 450er...

i dont like how every one has the r on the end eather... that was a honda thing... then zuki had it and now kawi and now yami...

Ive been outta the quad scene for a while, but wow i would deff buy the yfz450r. If you put MX tires and rims on there thats basically all you need! I may be picking one of these bad boys up in the near future!

i think that his dealer might have gotten the 450R confused with the CRF450

i think the new yfz450r is pretty cool. they have all the key features of the other new 450's all in their own on top of the existing yfz.

the fenders don't look bad, and you can cut them and make them them look how you want any how. how many racers leave their quads 100% stock?

I heard that Yamaha was still offering a carb version for 09. Same as 08, the EFI one they released is 50" wide for MX. They still have the carb and a narrow stance for XC.

ha i brought up that same thing like over a year ago in one of these posts around here, but all i got was answers back like "so what everyone else stole the 4 wheel concept from zuke so hows the R name any different" so i got out of that before it turned into a lawsuit....

but overall i like the new yfz, and i dont really notice that big of a difference of plastic between it and the base model... so id have to see one in real life to give input on it, but i can say for the first time since i even started riding i would have a yamaha over a honda....
