I've been working on this thing for the past 5-6 months and finally got her done. :D It's differnt, although I think it turned out alright. It's a CT 310 non-pv with an Aren's Frame.

There are some other knick knacks and fine tuning that needs to be done. Also need to send the motor off to Neil hopefully this fall, I also wanted to see what the motor was like before and after. I got a chance to ride it in the neighborhood a tad, but really need to get some plug chops and mess with the jetting.

I didnt care for the green, but after looking and stewing on it for awhile i think its really cool and very unique. It has really grown on me and i love the combo of the CT graphics and the plastic.
As far as the rest of the build we know that you have great attention to detail and there are no shoddy or half a**ed parts and im sure that its flawless.
Now if someone would get you a transparent green airbox you would be set....x-mas is right around the corner.

take some close ups of it with no plastics on so we can see some details.
Later bro....J

Looks like it came together really nice. I think it's funny you went so far as to make the yellow on the tires green.

Thanks for all the compliments.

That's funny about the tires. I will just let the terrain take care of that stuff, no sense in scrubbin for no reason.

I doubt QOTM would get votes with the motor looking the way it is. I have a host of brand new engine parts awaiting to send down to Neil for an overhaul.

Now I just need to go and get it dirty!

It is a CT Mid range and I wish it bolted up better than it does. I want to think the culprit it the frame, but it is hard to confirm with all aftermarket parts.

I only bolted up the silencer and used the springs on the flange, it is not going anywhere. I should of kept my center mount 5. :(

I'm holding them for you Rob. :) they were for sale for the longest time.

I want to say it's the frame. I think tony, aceman, has the same issues with his Arens frame. The pipe at no point touches the frame, I just wish the pipe hanger was back and up an inch.

I hope this helps.

What's the deal with the stator cover? Doesn't seem like your style putting something like that on an R like this.

Overall, I'd say it looks very very good. It's nice to see an R with an original color scheme too!

One other thing, where are the skids on this so-called XC machine?;)

Thanks Tony! I have the rear skid but need more spacers, the sprocket wouldn't clear. Running 39 tooth and the chain was rubbing with LSR swingarm and AC skid plate. Go figure!

As far as the motor, I have a Hinson Quick Change and pc'd cover also have a complete set of chrome covers too. :D

what front brake setup you using? I know ASV lever, but looks like you have some billet adapter and a non-stock master cylinder...

Thanks for the compliment. The front adapter comes with the ASV universal quad - I forget which model. As far as the master cylinder, it's a 400EX - I think they run like $25 brand new - whole heck of a lot better than the price of an R. ;)

Can you still get heel guards from IMS for the IMS propegs? Will 400EX or something work on a 89 250R? Like the ones shown here?
Thanks,
T

EDIT:
Never mind, searched more found the answer... I just bought some IMS propegs trying to get some heels guards looks like I'll be modding some 400EX's or 450r's...

I think you would be surprised... I know pdxbigfoot and masterltr450 both found some. Try atvgalaxy on eBay, they might find some. I think I spoke to Alex a while back and had them search for them. Otherwise, there was a fellow on here that converted some 450R ones to work, just need to know how to weld aluminum and make it look pretty.

Good luck!

BTW - Brand New CT Mid Range Pipe for Sale if anyone interested. Will take pics soon. Going back to the centermount.

Thanks, I bought the pegs from ATVGALAXY, (they have 2 more sets if anyone is interested). I emailed them to see if they have the heel guards.

Was looking at a used set of KFX IMS heel guards, they looked pretty simple to modify and might be able to convert them. Anyone try? I saw a set for 90 bucks I may give that a try if ATVGALAXY can't help. I can weld aluminum or fabricate if necessary.

I may be interested in the pipe after the first of the year. I've got to get thru Christmas and a wedding then I'll be looking for some parts. I'm also toying around with idea of building a hybrid this next year too, to complement my 250R.

It's plus 2 LT. I have a lead on a stock replacement Laeger frame and would like to make it a complete Laeger bike if possible. :D
