i was looking at a yoshi exhaust and was wondering if i need a power commander to run it with out it being lean or rich. also if i do buy a power commander too do i need a new cdi box or do they plug in to the stock one

if its just a pipe im pretty sure you can just use a cherry bomb. if you plan on adding more engine mods go with the power commander.

i ran an hmf slip on and a cherry bomb and it didnt pop or anyting. But If you have the money get the power comander its worth it.

but i know in the future i am going to end up buying the power commander but when i do do i need a diffrent cdi box than stock???

No. They don't have anything to do with the CDI. They take the signal to the Injector and modify it.

but what is the EMS PIM thing???
cause i was looking at the yoshi ones and i saw thet there was a seperate thing but im not sure if i need it.

With the PowerCommander you need a computer, I use a laptop, to change the maps. With the Yosh. the PIM takes the place of the computer. I chose to go with the PowerCommander because I could use the laptop for other things.
It came down to economics, the PC3 cost me $300, and the laptop cost $900. With Yosh, you need BOTH boxes and EACH one cost about $300. So for $600 with the Yosh, I could jet my LTR and that's all.
I realize the PC3 set-up cost twice as much but it was a good excuse to buy a laptop and now I use it all the time.
