View Full Version : Skid plate Skid pics?

I am in need of the mounting of a frame skid for a 400EX I got my skid plate in and I am needing to see how they mount up or what I need to get.

Im starting to get ticked off with the retards on ebay not including everything lol.

Anyway some mounting info and some pictures to give me some ideas I would really appreciate it thanks guys :huh

Its Moose Brand. It has the wrap around that covers the bottom of the engine as well that comes out the side of the frame next to the shifter. Im just wanting some better protection that just the plastic stock ones.

But I need to know how the thing mounts anyway lol.

did it come with any parts to install it with? a brand new one should come with some clamps the wrap onto the frame.

No this was used from a guy on ebay and he didnt send the mounting hardware I emailed him but you know how that goes I most likely wont ever see it.

So that is why im needing pics or something to show me how it mounts up or should mount up.

and the hardware clamps look like a hook that wraps around the frame, and has a spot for the bolt to go through the skid. sorry, no pic. i will get one later tonight when i get home

The guy is suppose to send the gear for it monday I hope he does if not im gonna cut some aluminume and make some plates to mount them to. Would most likely be stronger and fun lol.

lol. i noticed taht in your list, you have nerfs. when i installed my skid plate, the bar for the nerfs got in the way. it was a pain to get on, but it worked. by the different brands may have different results. you got moose skids and pro armor nerfs, i got pro armor skids and AC nerfs.

I hope it works easy and I hope they just get here.

If not im gonna take some aluminume and line up to rest on the frame and drill holes to match the skid and just bolt it on like that with some locknuts and lock tight to prevent backing.

Will work wont look really pretty but it will work anyway lol.
