and I love it except it is VERY loud. Is it supposed to sound like this?

Mine is quite loud, I assume it's normal. One side affect is the attention it draws--most people look twice at my EX when they hear a fan running.

Enjoy!

Does it have a temp sensor and kick on and off or run all the time?

You can have either one. Some people have a temp sensor, some people have a switch and some people have it run when you turn the ignition on. I have it so when I turn on the key, the fan turns on, when i turn it off, the fan turns off.

if yo uwanted a easy way yo ucould of tapped into the toggle for the headlights on/off i did that with my dvx fan. i dont have a tail light or headlight though so it was no big deal.

yeah you can do that too but you wont want to if you have a headlight cause then u have to ride with the lights on all the time, lol.

i installed mine with its own toggle so i can run it when ever i want, and its pretty loud too, thats because it moves a lot of air

How come no one has tried just a twelve volt fan? like a 4incher or so?

someone has, but i don't recall how long it lasted after being exposed to the elements...the spals are sealed.

Well the SPAL is a 12 volt fan. Its also made for ATV's and dirt bikes so its waterproof and dust proof. The quality is just much better than a regular fan.

Im not talkin a reg 12volt fan I know the ones that are made for comps are dust proof as look how they get from ppl who dont clean them and with a little 2 ply epoxy they would be water proof. and I bet they would still run under water if you epoxied were they come apart and on top of that you can usually find them from ppl who are just junking an old comp and I myself have like 3 or 4 of these things laying around.
