Nother Gas prices thread

well today i woke up to a text saying gas is going to jump over 5 dollars a gallon by the end of the day...well i got up and ran into town and got my gas for 3.49/gal. i get back home no more then 30 minutes later and get a phone call saying gas has jumped to over 5 a gallon....this is plum retarded....idk what these gas gougers are thinking....

anybody else see this massive increase in less then a few hour span?

I filled up for 5.45 a gallon earlier.

Its supposed to get higher than that by the end of the weekend.

The prices will come down when the refineries in LA and TX open back up...:scary:

Started at 4.15 a gallon here, dropped to 3.53 slowly and hasn't changed since:D

yeah my mom and brother ate it all up and went and filled up (it was he11 with my brothers f250).... because everyone was saying it was gonna go from 3.59 to 4.59 today (which it didnt, as i predicted last night), i myself just sat home cause im just about done giving in to those opec & saudi b*st*rds all the time.... oh and diesel didnt move a penny...

I filled up about 3 hours ago and it was 3.99. Now it is up to 5.45! They're saying 6 by the end of the week here. I know my excuse for not going to school or work now. lol

Oil has been around 100 a barrel for a long time, the last time it was that low gas was 225 a gallon, why hasn't it come down, they could give gas away for a month and still make record profits...

Usually, I stick up for the oil companies, but even Im getting a little irritated..

What they're doing is milking us for what they have in their tanks already, then dropping it down slowly over a short period of time.

It was at a point where the ones by my house were dropping a couple cents every couple days down to 3.53, until the hurricanes came.. it stayed stationary from there. Hasnt gone up or down.

If it weren't for the hurricanes it would probably be in the high 2's by now already.

Yeah I just don't understand how or why they would continue to raise prices. First of all, they have enough money by now to live 10 life times. Second, they've been saying we have had a shortage of oil for the past what, 30-40 years or so? I just think it's all ridiculous and whatever the Government tells us, we're gonna believe.

we even have radio DJ's saying it will be 5 bucks by tonight. and even some gas station around us <b>DOESNT EVEN HAVE ANY GAS</b> took down the numbers and put bags over all the pumps
and your telling me they dont have gas stockpiled :rolleyes:

When was this?? Oil has never hit $100 a barrel until this year.

i said earlier that gas rose 30 cents ion my small area but i just saw in knoxville (big city to me) its oveer the 4.50 mark, anyways $12?!? :eek2:, lets just pray that maybe someday we can go back to normal..... but till then i think the "elephant in the room" as how gas has soared these past few years, is just that opec and the saudis are just greedy pos's and of course politicians "walk on eggshells" around those people not to make it worse, they just all better be greatful that someone like me isnt president to say "either you can give it to us for a few bucks, or we can take it" and give em 24hrs to decide..

$4.50 in parts of sevierville also, $3.49 yesterday.

For real dude. This morning at 7 A.M. I drove past a gas station I normally fill up at and premium was $4.14 a gallon. I drive past the same gas station on my way back home around 5 P.M. and premium is $4.35!! :eek2: :mad: :mad:

weird that those gas prices are hitting you guys so hard. i live in baton rouge, louisiana and we got hit by hurricane gustav damn hard and gas never went over $3.89 and never actually ran out. there was lines at the gas pumps last night out the wa'zoo because the news said it was gonna jump to 5 bucks a gallon today. i wasnt about to wait 2 hours in line cause i knew it wasnt gonna go up for some reason. and i only had a quarter tank. guess what? i just got back from the gas station and filled up for $3.69. dont know why yall are gettin it so hard cause of the hurricane when i live right by it and we arent gettin gouged for gas, YET. i feel for u guys and hope it goes down soon!

Last night at Kroger (Where I work) their was a long line for gas.... We finally ran out, and shortly after putting about 2,000 gallons in the tank we jacked it up from 3.79 to 4.09....

There were fights at some gas stations.:eek2:
