banshee kicker shaft

guys ....i have a banshee that the kicker would engage sometimes...i did some investigating and noticed that the kicker shaft was a bit loose.. lookint at it - it moves from left to right ...not up and down .when i move it to the left...the gear will no slide out . when i move it to the right ....it's fine.

can anyone help me out with this ??? is there a clip or something missing ?

there are 2 springs on the kickstarter and I think the one is not in the right place and when it rotates it is catching it as it go around the shaft , then it works , my guess ,this happened to my blaste but i believe they are all the same , do u have a manual , it is just from wear and needs t be put back into the grove it came out of as long as it is still good .I am looking at the manual for banshee and it is the same as the blaster .the second spring pushisit against the gear and that is whhat locks it against the shaft when you kick it , hope this makes sense to you .you hve to take the cover of and put back together right and make sure the parts are all good
