axle nut need help!!!

stupid questiin but i got an axle nut annd i need to put it on, which way do i turn it and where should my axle be positioned as in right to left???

The axle nut has a lefthand thread. if looking at the rear an you twist down that will loosen it, an going up will tightin it.As fort he axle is should have the hubs on it if you just took the axle nut off but the sprocket hubs on the left an the rotor hub is on the right.
