i believe the cd came out tuesday not for sure though but what do you guys think of this new one from them?

I dig the video, but so far the songs aren't doing it for me.

Since Jason left the band, they have not been coming up with good music. It's like James is pushing his range too much, Lars' drums are too simple - and they have turned from musicians into "artists". They change tempo too much - it's just not cool. I'm losing faith in them ever having anything worthwhile again. But their old stuff is still so good that it makes up for their recent flailings.

But - at least it's better than the last one. That was just terrible.

For older fans that go way back like myself this is the best album since and justice for all. I cant wait to get it friday when its released for real. The whole album was leaked onto the internet on tuesday september 2nd by people in paris france that got the album early.

Its funny the singles they released are imo the songs i dont really care for at all. Everything else is total thrash metal that makes you want to break stuff.

Id have to say if you dont like the songs all nightmare long or the judas kiss you definatly never were or are a metallica fan. This album straight rips. load reload and st anger are complete garbage compared to this album.

Unforgiven III sucks in my opinion I was hoping for a heavier version of the song like Unforgiven III but instead its all different. I like their older stuff better

its def a good cd. it officially comes out tommorrow. ive heard all the songs and i will def purchase the cd tomm. i think its by far the best music they've put out since the black album. i agree the james pushes his range too much though. thats my main complaint. regardless, i do really like the new stuff. also, i have come to terms with the fact that these guys arent gonna be dropping down cds that absolutely dominate, like they did in the past. i know those days have come and gone and now i try to just take the new stuff for what it is and enjoy it. St. Anger, however i cant listen to. i hated that cd. the new one is good, by all means, but it doesnt touch the old stuf or even some of the other stuff thats out by other bands now (All Hope is Gone, being the first cd that jumps out).
