the guy above probally knows you have a yfz he is simply saying factory replacement plastic from your dealer can be cheaper, so try that, he was just using what he has as an example

check with your dealer, keep trying ebay or just buy new man, rockymountain has the cheapest as far as i know try motosport also

remember you pay for what you get, used plastic is just that, used plastic, my advice buy new and you will have a good looking quad

you realize $330 thats not for the fronts and back right? Its more like $600 for the full set. i thought $330 was crazy cheap. Theres something wrong with the site

i think i would jump on that, but i would call and see if they are in stock, i know with full bore some guys have had to wait up to 3 months to get their plastic in

Gray33

does the gas tank come iwth that plastic or what?

09-11-2008, 02:26 PM
Thats just a misprint in it.

Yamaha YFZ450 Front Fender*: $299.50
Rear Fender: $299.50
Chrome Tank Cover: $99.00
*Front fender includes radiator shrouds.

Thats how much they are from fullbore. Cost on them is not even 300. If you look Add rear fender for 290ish. They just need to fix it

Lakers look 100times better anyways

if i was you i would go with the lakers over the maier but thats my opinion. Lakers race cut front 1 piece is $245 this includes gas tank and radiator shrouds

Gray33

most of the time the gas tank is a seperate piece,

usually you can email or send a letter to them asking for stickers, people sell hundreds of them in a package cheap on ebay but they are random

alot of people like a clean look, others like a ton of stickers, i like a good looking set of graphics with sponsor decals printed on them already

www.goforitgraphics.com makes some sweet stuff if you want to go that route

no the tank is anohter $60 and the radiator scoops are like another $140!!!! According to lakers site that stuff is all included for the $245

If your going new and want the best deal. Laker's are your best bet for the yfz. Ive used them quite a few times and they are Very good fenders, also very durable. Ive also used maier full fenders a good bit for some yfz's and can tell you i Always have issues with the tank piece tabs breaking off after a couple rides, then you have to resort to zip tieing/stitching them.

it is impossible for somebody to "magically" outbid you on ebay at the last minute unless you aren't putting in the top price you are willing to pay. Of course it is going to seem like the other person is winning by just a couple of dollars over your bid but don't think for a second that if you raised the offer even by $10 that they wouldn't bid higher.

I bid one time for an item on ebay. Sometimes I get it for a lot less than my top bid. Other time people outbid me which is fine. They exceeded the price I was willing to pay.

Gray33

how is it impossible

I put in the amount that i want to buy it for and my average for plastic on ebay i put 200 then i win all week. Then when i get on after work i get out bid by a dollor or two

ok, you are either losing because somebody is willing to pay more than you or you are not putting in the MOST you are willing to pay for the item. Let's say an item is at $50 but you are willing to pay $100. Put $100 in as your bid. When somebody bids $55, your bid supercedes his bid. Now your are winning the bid at $55. If this person just keeps bidding, you will keep being the new bidder all the way up to the maximum amount you are willing to pay. If the person finally puts in $102 then you will lose. The reason is that somebody else was willing to pay more than you. That person might have gotten a deal though because they might have been willing to pay as much as $120 had your maximum bid been higher.

Lots of people watch ebay to see if there are any deals to be had. They are counting on the fact that you haven't put in your max bid and will just try bidding a couple more bucks right before time runs out.

BTW, I hate ebay as it isn't a true bidding mechanism. As a seller, if somebody puts a bid in within the last minute of an auction end, ebay should automatically increase the remaining time of the auction for 5 more minutes. This gives the seller the opportunity to get the maximum amount. Instead, people wait until the last minute or seconds to put a bid in hoping to get a bargain. Meanwhile, there are other bidders out there who would have paid more if time didn't expire.
