Yfz Shock Spring Removal?

Title says it all,had both sets of our shocks rebuild by Derisi,great work,but the springs are gold,ugly.Want to remove them and have them powder coated,just need to know how to remove them,thanks in advance.

Twist the pre load rings to the top of the shock as high as they can go which on the yfz they can twist right up off the threads. Then slide the bottom out bumper/cushin around the shaft up a little and then slide the bottom metal thing out that the shock springs on top of.
