Ok, I have a mildly built 416 that is roasting the current clutch.
10.8:1 Comp. J.E. Piston
Hotcam Stg 1 for bottom end
WB R4 Exhaust
Kibblewhite valves/springs/retainers
K&N

Anyways, I do mostly trail riding and I feather the clutch quite a bit sometimes. I want a clutch that will last and that will grab hard when i want it to. EBC Dirt racer is one kit I was looking at. what are the advantages of replacing the basket (if any)? The dirt race comes with new springs, steels, and frictions. Should I just get that and use everything it comes with? Should i use different steels/frictions? Should I use extra steels/frictions? I've never replaced a clutch and I want to do it with the right parts so please enlighten me.
Thanks!
Mike
