Looking for a local racing series in MO

Hi guys. Im wondering if anyone can tell me a racing series or at least a track that is near springfield MO or in Mo that I can race my atv at? Id like to run a series next year maybe one that goes to the local 4 state region if there isn't one for Mo. I ride mx no woods racing. THANKS!

theres places all over north jersey, i won't post up specifics because as stated earlier in thread cops probably read this and so far they don't know about most of these spots (or just don't care) if your in the ringwood/wanaque/oakland area and wanna go riding pm me im always looking for someone new to ride with

There is a track very near you in Ava MO called the Ozark Mountain ATV Raceway. Although it is a TT track not MX. It is a pretty good track and they have a Knobby class. They are having the last round of the MidWest Extreme DirtTrack Series there this weekend 9/13. Come on out and see what you think.

cabool missouri ( about 70 miles due east of you). In texas county I actuallly go to springfield quite a bit of things who woulda thought someone on the board was from down here in the sticks of the ozarks lol.

yeah! I actually Lived in Cabool for a while. I mostly grew up in West Plains though. Its about 20 minutes from Willow Springs MO. Hey the track there in Cabool Is It still running atv or has it changed to just dirt bikes too? I saw some guys changing up the track when I went by there last weekend. Thayer shut down the atv mx track there. Now its only dirt bikes for mx racing.

Yup I go to west plains every weekend just about and were my bro & law and sister live. I grew up in willow and I lived in west plains for awhile. I work at WDT (Western Dairy Transport) just down the rhode from the Dirt track.

They closed it to dirt bikes only as well kinda sucks... Wish they would allow atv's again.

I am pushed to ride at my uncles or on the goverment as there are lots of trails and such.

Not much down this way to ride on. We are talking about building a MX track on my uncles place though right now its just talk. Its on Z highway in willow springs.

Oh thats cool. Yeah thats my old stomping ground. That sucks! I don't really care for woods racing as much as I do mx. Yeah I went to West Plains almost all of my life. I graduated up here in 2005 at Kickapoo high though. My names Jarrett Young. Im 22. Yeah Im looking for a local track to bang some bars around at but its not looking to good unless I get into woods racing :( I wish they had a racing series that is in MO or close to it.

Alright man ill do that I can get ahold of a backhoe for free as long as I fuel it just need to get the dirt. I would like to setup a MX and a XC track both out there my uncles and grandpa's connects and it would be fun to have both out there.

That would be a sweet series to get into. To bad it xc racing. Maybe Ill just have to get a xc quad and just do it?

Really dont need much for XC as in the way of engine mods and for MC you need some top end.

If ya have a MC quad ya can race it in XC. Front what I see the tracks are alot alike but different lol.


As in MC ya have lots of jumps and hills and such well in XC ya do but alot of it is the terrain.

I would like to do a setup out there for both if we do do it and you want to help I will let you know I know the XC wouldnt be that hard at all. The MC would be the thing that would be the thing as it would require a back hoe tractor or something to move lots of dirt.

Yeah im might as well join the club and get in the xc racing. Id still like to have a wide quad though. Yeah im good with a back hoe and bull dozer. Yea a xc track isn't hard at all to make.

Sweet. I am trying to keep an eye out for a wide houser front end for a friend of mine for a 400Ex lol.

cheap way to make the track wider is to buy wheel spacers on ebay they extend your quad up to I think 3 inches or is it 2inches per wheels. Its extended lugz on your stock lugz and your wheel mounts to them instead of buying an extended axel of swing arms.

and plus you can get 2 sets for like $40 lol

Yeah I just got qualified for the new ds450x mx and the new ktm450sx so i wouldn't have to worry about that. There both like 50" wide. Have you checked out ebay for the housers?

Na I havent checked on there he knows how to check ebay if I found any locally I was suppose to let him know but not many ppl have that kinda stuff around here ya know.

The OXC is an awesome series. I think you will enjoy it. If anything, it would keep you in shape for MX. Go over to oxcracing.com and join the forum.

Well im guess you xc guys got me talked in to it. lol I just went to my ktm dealership and got a 450xc I want to do the OXC Series too.

I wanted to buy a KTM when I bought my quad but they didnt sell them in my area anymore I was pissed off lol.

I might have to check into this as I get my mods done but alittle at a time lol. And maybe we can meet up and have some fun lol.

Yeah I just picked my 450 xc up just a few hours ago!!! I love it!!! Its not a mxer but it will work for tt and xc. I think I might like xc racing. Yeah for sure we should go riding! We can go to thomasville by West Plains or chadwick? Or where ever?

I will try my best on gettiing to some races with gas going up longer trips are getting harder and harder lol.

But I will def try to get some races in. May be awhile though as I am told I have to get a few things I dont have lol.

I am trying to get my cousin and bro in law into going to chad to ride.

We are doing a semi planned ride in willow springs this coming weekend dont know if ya want to drive that far though lol.
