For Sale 1988 Suzuki LT500 Quadzilla

I picked this up but decided I have too many projects so have decided to sell. This bike is not running and in need of a top end (low compression). The previous owner had seized it up a few years back when it overheated due to leaking waterpump. He just recently did a topend only to have the air filter come off and lean it out. He decided he didn't want to fuss with it anymore. From what he has told me everything worked, shifted, etc correctly but I personally don't know for sure. I am trying to describe this an honestly as possible. This bike could be an easy to fix driver or a great start for a project.

The Good:
I think this bike has low hours even thought it has some issues.
Shocks feel great.
Original tires and wheels with decent tread and wheels have some scuffs but not bad.
Still has keyed ignition
Front fenders are good
Have new aftermarket handlebars that go with it

The Bad:
Headlight busted
Wiring has been repaired
Stock handlebars are bent and have been welded
Rear fender mount on grab bar needs to have tab welded back on (still have it)
Seat is good, small minor tears
Rear fenders busted
Radiator cowl has small crack
FMF pipe has been welded on YIKES!

Asking 1500 obo. I live about 1 hour south of Chicago. Not looking to part out, and can possibly help with reasonable delivery for fee.
