mojave problems

I have a 1989 kawasaki mojave.. i thought my cdi box was going bad because i could ride it for a while and all of a sudden it would shut off and not start back up. sometimes i would start up first kick then other times it would not start for days.. i got another cdi box and put it in and it started working for like 2 hours then stopped... so i bought another coil and put it in and still no spark and wouldnt start. i checked my stator and it read in the area it should. does anyone know what could be wrong with it..

You should talk too Greg Spicka over at www.cycleworksracing.net and go to the shop talk and then kawasaki. He is the Mojave expert.

To me it sounds as if you have a short in a wire or possibly a bad ground somewhere or maybe even a rectifier if it has one.

My stator on my Mojave checked within spec.. but was still bad. Mine had very weak spark.

im just going to buy another stator with the coil pulser and what not
