View Full Version : blaster new vs old parts swaps

Ok say you had a 1998 blaster and wanted to add the hydraulic brakes from say an 04 or whenever they started using hydraulic disc. Is this a direct swap or are there mounting tabs on 04 and newer frames that the earlier years like a 98 dont have?? any info would be greatly appreciated.

nope, they fit right up. the a-arms don't have line holders though. i'm doing it very soon, just waiting for the brake assembly to show up. i'll post pics if you want.

id like to see how the rear setup is installed if you have pics.. I am thinking the frame mounts for the rear brake conversion from a newer machine are not on the older machines.. not sure though

cool. you used the aftermarket. I am looking to use factory 2003 or 2004 and up parts
