Tire and gearing combo

Just getting my feet wet with the mx racing scene. Have 08 DS and looking to replace the rear tires. Thinking about dropping down from the 20" stock tires to 18". Just wandering what tire and gearing set up most of you are running for MX. Any help would be great.

with full pipe system u will have plenty of power with 14 39. stock not sure

if its a short track go with 18s stock gears you will love it. if track is long go with 19s on your stock rims. stock tires a way heavy like 19 lbs and 18s are like 13 lbs. if you dont do monster jump you can run rear honda spacers. to get by. you also must go with 20s on the front. i run a 19s on a 2plus 3 rim. i makes your bike 2inches wide. you will get more bumbsteer. this is on a low buget to get you going. i never got pass any one on the track.
