lt 80 not sparking

hi there..

where do i start??

OK, i bought this quad about 2 weeks now, when i got it the CDI was burnt, along with some of the wiring to go with it..

ive since bought a second hand wiring loom, along with a CDI/COIL combined unit.

blah blah blah..

still not sparking:confused:

any ideas :(

Juice comming from the stator?
Pull the connection under the hood and see if it sparks to a ground when the motor is spinning.

If not you can pull the flywheel and sand the stator to remove juunk/rust.. I've seen em need cleaned up before.

update:

got it sparking at last, but still doesent want to fire

does everything it should except go really..

the starter goes like hell too, occasionaly the reset button will pop out

any ideas?


new battery has been put in

new plug and also put in

Check compression...lets make sure your not beat-in a dead horse here
