engine problem??

well today i hit up the track and on the 3rd lap the engine died coming off of a turn..nothing is siezed, not metal in the oil, timing is right on, nothing is rong with the cam/chain/tensioner.. now could this be valve clearences? or electricle problem? when we try to start it it backfires through the exhaust.. what is this indicating?

when is the last time you checked the valves?

about 2 rides tops before this happened? did you mean the valve clearences or the actual valve head it self? if the valve head, when we rebuilt the motor..but we might pull the head tommorow depending what others say about this..i still think my valves are kicking the bucket..

Spark>
Gas>
Compression >

that usually gets you in the right direction

A:the 06 has a throttle sensor & even the dang temp wire will shut off spark this stuff happens when racing from vibration jumping etc..

everything seems to be good spark,compression,gas..however we have to re-adjust my exhaust valves, i will let u know once the tropical storm passes if that was the problem because the clearences are really tight..my quad is an 06 as well..
