i am looking for some answers concerning the raptor 700r. Well first i am a heavy set guy i weigh over 200 lbs and was wondering if the raptor would be a good trail bike for me. I am a hardcore trail rider and i live in west virginia. I would also like to know how easy it would be to modify the the exhaust, would i have to remap the computer or anything. any help would be greatly appreaciated.

im 220 and the raptor 660 does fine for me. So id say ya, it would be a good choice.. The exhaust should be real easy to change and theres no need to remap... Just buy a PowerCommander and ur good to go...

Yep, great quad for us big guys. I'm 270 and I XC race my Raptor 700. It doesn't seem to mind my weight and the bigger stance fit me better than the smaller 450 quads.

On a Raptor 700 you WILL need to "remap" (aka buying an aftermarket power commander) if you do any air intake and/or exhaust.. They are lean from the factory to begin with and the factory computer can't be changed enough to compensate for the extra air moved through the motor.

Have you considered a utility.Just got back from maine we did average 85miles a day on the trails wish I had a utilty for the trails.I have a 07 700r the utlity keep up for speed. went threw the mud better and climed the hills better. Now for the take offs and jumps it was better.Good news was the 700 took everything that was thrown at it mostly rocky trails only got burried in the mud once. Can show pictures but have no idea how to post them
