just curious to see if people think the stock shock conversions that you can get done through gt thunder and c&d racing are any good. im gonna be using them for xc racing

I had derisi racing do mine, but anything setup correctly for your riding weight and style is going to be night and day better than the stock setupj.

Mine is setup more for mx but they all do whatever you tell them for specs. Remember if your not truthful your shocks may not be setup 100% to your liking. Your the one that will be riding yours so setup for the type of riding you like and for your weight and you'll be very happy and its not nearly as expensive as new shocks would be.

Cant find it but I had a pic of my shocks and link and a few of when I first put them on

here is a pic of when I put my first frontend on with that setup its not setup yet so its way off but you can really see how the shock look

GT Thunder. they do the revalve and spring and they also machine the shock body to lower your ride height without sacrificing any travel in the shock. make sure you get all three with the link to balance out the quad and give you even a better ride.....

Not going to say one rebuild is better than the other in this post. I will say if you wanted a new rear link then c&d's isn't going to give it to you. I do like my quad sitting lower that is why I chose derisi's setup since it like many of the other setups including all the hi dollar long travel setups. They all recommend changing the linkage.

Again I'm not saying one is better than the other. Either setup is going to make your quad much better than it was just making sure you knew that about the linkage is all.

Im very happy with my setup but am still thinking of trying a long travel rearend with a newer style dual linkage for more travel and a yet and an more adjustable rear setup again I ride mx not xc so maybe this is a big difference too.
