I have GNCC's all around (20-rear 21-front) and they are good tires. Very tough and really not all that heavy either. When they are new, they hook up almost a little too well on the hard dirt and the fronts are point and shoot.....they steer very well. Mine are worn down a little bit and they are getting perfect. I can slide predicatively, but they hook great when you need the traction. Heres a pic of my quad with GNCC's. It is a duner, but handles the trails quit nicely.

i dont race but gncc type rding is all i do, mud, trails, rocks, roots, muddy long up hills, etc, you name it. so far the holeshot hd's have been awesome but, i probably wouldn't buy them new, i got mine free from a friend. holeshots are just expensive tires when you can get the same performance elsewhere...if i were buying new XC tires i would get the "new" kenda knarly xc's, they come in 21" in the rear and 22" fronts, apparently they're crazy awesome, and light for a 6 ply...judging by my past expierences with the regular knarly's i wouldnt doubt it...if you want 20" tires instead i'd still stick with kenda and get the regular knarly's and match them with the kenda klaw fronts. jmo.

here's a link to a little info and some pics of the knarly XC's

here's a pic of mine with hd's and std. razr fronts, the setup works awesome for me, plus those razr fronts are CHEAP.

Razr2 fronts and razr rears are the best tires I have ran though I have not had the chance to run the Holeshot GNCC's.

I have also used, Kenda Klaws, Knarly's, and the latest being the Radial rears. All of kenda's rear tires do not have enough shoulder bite for me.:ermm:

those new knarly xc's were designed almost specifically for great shoulder bite i believe..you probably tried the ht's?
