Is there any special maintence for an LTR 450 besides oil changes and the basic little stuff? Also how reliable are they with starting in the cold and different weather conditions?

Its reliable, I put 2 and a half riding seasons on mine and it held up well. I freshened up the topend this year but only cause I was looking for a bit more go. The top end still looked good when I made the change. The LTR is a bear to work on though. Always seems like your removing this to get to that. Thats not very often though. I've been more than happy with my LTR and don't see myself wanting a new bike anytime soon.

I run a full skid plate on it for XC and I don't even try to change the oil with it on anymore, it gets pulled immediately during the wash. The LTR is more difficult to work on than some, but once you take everything off a couple of times you learn a couple of tricks.
