Axle question

I am using my sons, account right now. My axle is starting to rust a little bit on the 400ex. , How hard it is to take out the axle ?, and is it would be worth it, to powdercoat it.

The axle isn't too hard to take out, unless the brake rotor hub is rusted to the axle. The first time I changed an axle, it only took me two hours start to finish, and I'm not a mechanic. However, a little surface rust won't hurt the strength of the axle, it will only make it hard to remove.

Even a powdercoat can chip away, and it will chip away very rapidly on the axle. I don't think it is worth it to powedercoat your axle. I WOULD suggest a little penetrating oil to keep the brake rotor hub from rusting to the axle, or you will need a sledge hammer to remove your axle.
