Hi All. I'm thinking of selling my 2001 400ex and was wondering what a fair price might be. Here is a list of the mods I have done:

416 JE Piston
Stage 1 hot cam
K&N filter
Jet Kit
White Brothers E-Series
Maxxis Razr Tires on aftermarket rims
450R timing chain
Elka front suspension
Elka rear shock conversion
Duncan Racing graphics/seat cover kit
Nerf bars

Was thinking of starting at $3,000 but didn't know if this was too high or too low. Any thoughts?

i think its a little high, when i was shopping for my 400 a few weekes ago i was seeing stock ones go for 12-1500. there are a few nice 04 yfzs on craigslist for 2800-3200. i think your best bet would be to get some stock suspension and part out yours.

ehhh, with the mods you have one it, the most i would give is $2500. but if it was in immaculate condition then 3000 sounds pretty good

Ok sounds good. I didn't expect to get $3000, but I did think it might be too high, $2500 sounds a little more reasonable. Thanks for the help.

$2500 sounds like a good price. i bought my 03 400 for $1500 with all the mods in my sig. i tried selling modded 4wheelers before and i have found that making them as close to stock as you can then sell them.

I'll say that pricing must be a geographical thing. The only way I'd be able to get a 400ex for $1200 to $1500 in my area of the country is if it was seriously thrashed and needed major work. By the sounds of some of the deals others are getting y'all are extremely lucky or I need to start shopping out of state. :)

I bought mine.....99% of anything that was available for it aftermarket...it was on it....1 owner, imaculate shape, brand new tires, $2500. I would have actualy given more for it if he would have asked. No more than $2800 though.....then I would start looking for an R anything over that price. You can get 04' R's for right around $3K now
