Info on Chain Slider??

I have the original chain slider on my 87 250x, the one on top next to the swingarm. I know its hard to believe but yes it is extremley worn down :eek: Is this is a must to have on the bike, do most people use them? And do you know if one off of a 300ex will mount on to my 250x? Just trying to get some ideas for it. Thanks for the help.

Yah i would deff have it on there because the noise of the chain
hitten the swingarm will drive u nuts an it will chip the paint. But im pretty sure a 300ex one will fit.
