Just wanted to ask everyone what paddles they were running on what bike. I have an 06 LTR that is currently running sand stars but I just bought a set of Sedona Cyclones to put on there.

Has anyone ran the Cyclones? If so what do you think?

I always stick with the tried and true Haulers. I have a set of 7 paddles and 9 paddles.

I have ran Sand Skate II's in the past, they were alright, but the haulers are better. The ITP Sand Stars seem to be a really good tire, but I have never used them personally.

I have a 300ex.. but I also use Skat-Trak. 6-paddle Mohawk Gliders. (Mohawks because at little saharah theres a lot of hardpack in the camping area. Really saves the paddles.)

I run 20" sand stars on my YFZ and really like them alot. I have rode 20" 8 paddle haulers on other quads and they hook up great, but I think the sand stars are better for cornering, imo.

ITP sandstar 2's. A very good all-around tire. Had the sand skate 2's and they came apart. Haulers are very very good...especially for straight lines.

ive always like "V" paddles. i run sand sharks. they are GREAT for carving the dunes and still hook up great in a straight line.

for sure. I noticed your from oregon, where and when are you going? I'm gonna be camping at horsfall the 15th-17th. you gonna be around? Haulers have by far the best straight line hook up so if your a tree/hill shooter, haulers are the only way to go. I used to run sandstars and they are great as well, just don't climb as well.

What does everyone feel is the best rim size to run in the dunes, 8 or 9 inch? I'm thinking about making a first time trip to the dunes and curious if I really need to invest in a set or would a stock set of LTR tires/wheels work decent?

I'm running the cyclones right now but I got them with my quad so I can't really compare them to anything else. I haven't found anything they wont climb yet but my friends with haulers do better so I'll be getting haulers when these wear out which will be soon cause dune fest tore em up this year.
