I have a Elka Elite rear shock and Houser xc link for a 04 0r 05 Yfz450. $700 shipped. The shock is valved for a 210lb A class XC rider, stock swing arm and Houser link. The shock is 18 1/4" long from eye to eye.

can you still run a skid plate with this set up?

I ran an AC skid that covers the disc and sprocket. I'm not sure if a skid that covers the whole swingarm will work.

Will the shock work with the stock linkage?

Yes the shock will work with the stock linkage.
