carb trouble

yea my 01 400ex doesnt idle before it was idleing because there was a napkin in the throttle the make it idle and i want to fix it and i cant get it to idle i cleaned the carb and adjusted it and it still wouldnt idle right so can anyone tell me what i can do

how many turns from seated is you mixture screw? take the side cover off the carb and verifyy your idle knob is actually working....mine would spin i wound up using a set of needle nose pliers to turn the nut on the bottom of the carb

i kno the mix screw is where is should be i dont really kno how many twists it is though. but the same thing happened to my friends quad and he payed like 80 bucks to get it fixed and i kno the screw doesnt spin around or anything

will it idle with the choke on?

yes it will idle with the choke on..then when i turn off the choke it will stall

check for a clogged pilot jet or richen your air screw
