This quad isnt a LT250R but a plain 250R. Its a 1986 250R and its completely stripped apart the guy bought it for a project bike and had it stripped apart to have the frame powder coated. But they ran out of money on it. It looks kinda rough but not to bad for a 86'. He said the engine needs to be rebuilt and he is asking $1000 OBO

I am wondering since I am going to have to rebuild this quad and do some fixing up what do you think a fair price would be on this?

Kind of hard to tell from the small pics... If you have the money for rebuilding, knowledge and patience, offer him $750. That's IF the frame is in good shape, and the motor really does just need rebuilt, i.e. rings- bearings etc.

You may get a better response posting this in the TRX250R forum, more guys that have the 250R will see this.

Ok, when you said 250R and I saw red frame, thought it was a Honda 250R. If it's a Suzuki, then it is an LT250R.

Sadly I must admit, the Honda brings in more money than the Zuk. So on this one, I def wouldn't offer more than $750. That's if the frame is in good shape, and the motor just needs rebuilt. If you get it, ebay will be your friend for getting parts! ;)

I WOULD OFFER $400-500 KNOWING THAT YOU CAN BUY A COMPLETE Lt250R FOR AROUND $1,000-1,800.
