after market steering stem problem

ok I bought a houser steering stem for older model kfx400 00-03 model i think. Well i have a 05 model quad. the steering stem fit fine except the tie rods dont fit. are the tie rods differnt on the older models? do i need to buy some for a 00-03 or something?

yep the 05-up tie rod ends are different. you will need to find a pt # on the stem to determine if it 03-04 style or 05-up.
