View Full Version : Guy400 (i think?) resetting a chevy oil % computer

just got an oil change, about every third time they forget to reset the computer. Someone told me once how to do it, i think it was "guy". Anyone know how to reset it? 2005 chevy avalanche

Id think it is just like any other Chevy, but you turn the ket to the run position, but dont start it. Press the gas pedal fully 3 times within 5 seconds and you should see it resetting on the digital readout.

Word, our canyon and silverado was the same way. :macho:
Some of them you can reset by just scrolling through the dash menus or with the steering wheel controls if there. :)

Jesus thats fancy! I just write on a note pad when the last time I changed to oil!

Yeah I keep track on my own also, just annoying that the computer says 18% left when i know its 100%! Thanks again.
