09 outlaw vs 700xx

i blew the engine on my old outlaw, and am ready to buy a new one (with the ktm engine this time), then i found this honda. i ride pretty complex trails and woods, so the irs is a must. i never race, any advice??

Id go with the outlaw. The 700xx has a slipper piston design that likes to be revved. Some one else might be able to help you better.:confused:

thats what i am leaning towards. i already know how it rides, and the weight issue kills me

Not only the weight, but just finding tires and wheels. The stock tires won't do well in ruff terrain, yet with a 11" wheel, there isn't anything out there. Then a 10" won't fit, so your only other option is a 12". Then they put a 4/144 rear bolt pattern. Nobody makes them. So Honda IMHO didn't do well when it came to that.
