Raptors..

I was just wondering what a lot of people on this site have against raptors?

The only thing I have against them is they are faster then my 400EX. I have nothing against them, my buddy "used" to own one....Kinda not running now. I rode it a few times and it had a lot of power but didn't feel as comfy as the 400EX.

The only thing I have against them is that there's not one in my garage! In my eyes it's still the most ferocious looking quad out there and 660 cc's to start with really floats my boat too!

I have nothing against Raptors, but I would definitly take a 400ex, ltz400/kfx400 over a Raptor anyday. The raptor is 400 pounds witch is alot heavier, It is very tall and seems tippy, The handling and suspenion is not as good as the 400's, And this kid I know has one and it was always breaking. I think with some money you could make them very fast and awesome quads. The main reason I wouldn't get one would be because it is 660 cc and thats over the 440cc limit, And I think they could have put out alot more power in a 660 machine then only 35 hp.

if Yamaha could get that Raptor motor, fix teh clutch and gears good, and drop it in a 400ex like chassi, it would rip the 400 so many new @ssholes, it couldnt choose wich one to sh*t out of

My one buddy used to have one and then he got a banshee. I liked it but it did not feel comfortable on it at all like i do my 400. It definetely had the power just felt kinda goofy. I would take the zuk or kaw 400 over a raptor as well. Just my opinion thouhg.

I like Raptors, the only things are the handling, and I dont like there looks too much either.

I have alot of reason to dislike raptors, I paid top dollar for a 2001 ,2 one way assemblys, 1 trans, and 3 broken keyways on the flywheel later I sold it it is a piece of S**T I heard they corrected most the problems on the 02 model except the starters one way assembly which goes every six months at $250 a pop,you will become very good at changing them, I hate it for the many weekend days I sat home working on it while my friends rode!! no flame intended, glad I sold it and bought my hondas miss reverse, but like riding more + both my hondas handle way better for half as much money, the chassis is top heavy on the raptor. never ,never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:grr
