06 motor in 05 frame

Will this bolt up alright? I trashed my crank and rod bearing on my race bike and Im worried that if I go back to an 05 motor the same thing will happen again. Just looking for a realiable XC motor.

what is good in the bottom end? are you willing to sell if its somewhat alright?

Anything can work with fabrication. Yes the engines are different but not that dramatic of a difference. We looked into doing this when the 06 first come out but never got around to the time to do wit with racing year around at that time. The biggest thing we seen that you may run into is maybe having to change the plastic plate under the tank and may have to have a custom intake tube made cause the angle of things are a little different.........ppl also told us you could never run an 06 head on an 05 jug but with a little machining it has worked and ran great for 2 years now
