What to buy?

Hey guys, im a beginner looking to purchase a used quad but im not quite sure what would be right for me. Im 16 and just begining to ride i've been considering the raptor/warrior 350, or the YFZ 450..not to sure, i've also seen quite afew good deals on the raptor 660's but not to sure if its to much power for me. What would you guys suggest? A smaller bike like the raptor 350, or would a r660 be fine?

yfz450 if u buy a rapter u will like it until u get bored of trail rideing and want to jump and reolize it gots crapy suspension the yfz has it all it might handle a little worse on trails but your 16 so once yo uget use to it i would imagine you will be jumping.

yeah, im not sure yet i'll be mostly trail riding and maybe hit up afew tracks, i've found a good deal on a clean warrior 350, what do you guys think about that?

eh how much? i would still say the 450... suspension is a big factor the trail rideing suspension on the 660 rapter and worrior wont keep up. trus me i own a 400ex with nothing really stock exept suspension and i still wish i baught a 450.

Yeah, but for a first real bike the yfz is kinda pricy. I dont mind buying aftermarket suspension eather. Not sure still tho, still considering eather of them.

About a rappy 660 do you guys think it's to much power for me, being 16 and all? I'll be basicly trail riding but i've always liked the 660r

remeber this. its a machine it only puts out as much power as you make it put out. you can ride a 660 ratper like a 250ex. and those rapters arnt the best i can beat one one my ex. i no they got power and all but honestly i would just get a 450 there was a guy on there and he said a dealer ship was selling trx450rs for 5400 so thats decent its brand new to i will try and find his user name for you.

I got my first 450 when I was 14. As time flew by I got used to it and really good on it. Now I dont have to worry about getting a new quad cuz it dosent get any better than a 450. You could find some good deals on older 450's. I myself am selling my 05 trx450r for $2800. Thats $600 more than the warrior and its a whole different quad in power/handleing/ and looks ofcourse.
Your 16 your ready for a real quad.

any reason for going yamaha? look at other brands you might find something to suit you better. i like 450's but i'm glad i have a 400ex. its just my riding style and it makes life easy. really reliable and it handles great. stock shocks on the front need an upgrade. i've seen a few people go from 400ex to 450 back to 400ex because they didnt like how the 450 didnt want to be lugged down. if you MX get a 450 no doubt. trails I say 400. raptors are pretty beast they have a lot of torque

I dont think raptor 660 would be a problem since i myself have 1 and my 16yrs old girlfriend is riding it without any problem.
