What does everyone use to clean their Uni Pod filter and what about the outerwear? I have been just using simple green and massaging the filter with it but it doesn't seem to get much of the old oil out just the dirt. Also our outerwear seems to get coated quite a bit with the oil from the filter. Is this ok?

We rinse ours out with Mineral Spirits that can be purchased at Walmart by the gallon. Then rinse out with laundary soap and air dry.

The UNI filter cleaner/oil both work very good!!! The Klotz cleaner and oil both work good as well.

If you have a parts cleaner in your shop, just use the solvent from the parts washer. Then rinse the filter out with water and air dry.

I have used PJ 1 cleaner and oil. All sold in aerosol type cans, very easy to use and wash it out with water from hose and let air dry.

Thanxs for all the responses. Looks like I will leave the simple green for shiny plastics and get me some good cleaner.
