I found one of these cheap on e-bay but it says its a pusher. Can I reverse it to make it a puller? If so, how?

yes. You would just change the polarity by switching the wires. Black to positive and red as the ground. I got the same thing.

also, did you change the direction of the fan blades? Wouldnt you have to take the blades off and turn it around?

No you dont have to change the blades. If you did they would still be angled the same direction. I havnt had a problem yet. If you have ever owned an electric r/c car or something like that its the same concept. When you go from forward to reverse, you are just changing the polarity to the motor which makes it spin the oposite direction.

A pusher and puller fan have different angle blades. You can reverse the polarity of the motor but it wont be as efficient as a propper puller fan.

really? Thats kinda what I thought. The blades on a reversed pusher fan wont work cause they r facing the wrong way. Man I was hopin I could get one for cheap like the pusher I found for $35 on ebay but I would rather have the correct blade direction with the puller fan. I will just get that one instead.

SPAL makes a specific 4" puller fan.

I got my spal from ebay it is a puller, it was like 60 bucks shipped. I still have not got around to installing it yet though. Check out the thread 440ex cooling it has lots of stuff about the spal fan on it.

Yeah the only 4" spal fan ebay has right now is the pusher. Is there somewhere else I can get this fan cheaper besides spalusa.com and ebay?
