rust on a new chain

Well I installed a new chain yesterday and went riding. got it muddy so i rinsed it off with a hose. I got home at 2:30Am and looked at the chain at 2:00PM today and I saw little rust spots forming on the chain.

how can I remove this rust?


So after a little searching on google I found that people had this problem on their bicycles. So after a rinse off, which i should not always do, (correct?) I should dry the chain and re-apply oil I am guessing?

When you wash it spray it with wd40 that stands for water displacement 40 so it will get the water off the chain as well as prevent rust and or remove it.
then when ever you want to wipe off the wd40 in like 20 min or so, just wipe it down with a cloth and spray it nice and lightly with chain lube, wipe off the excess and your done.
