Dang. Can you still coat them anyways? I know if they get way to hot they the grease will turn to gas and build pressure and then explode. Thats what i dont want to do. BUT i want them coated...

yeah i painted mine myself because of that reason. I used the PJ1 Honda XR Silver paint which looks good. Only the aftermarket a-arms have removable ball joints. Heres how they turned out:

Thanks guys. I got the paint from my local motorcycle accessory shop. You can get it from rockymountainatv.com too. Its part #53-6124. I put about 3-4 coats on not including the primer. It takes them a couple days to dry but they look real nice when its done.

yeah i would just be afraid of the rubber melting or the grease getting messed up. Maybe you can powdercoat them, idk.

Well i dont know if they would blow up or not. But i do know that if you get a 2000 Dodge 1500 ball joint to hot with a torch they will exlode...;) BUT thats thousands of degrees not 450*...the paint does not look bad but i want something more durable...

It holds up better than even I thought it would. Its def no powder coat but its still pretty strong. I have had it on there for almost a year now and it hasnt faded, chipped or cracked or anything.
