Are those tech 3's our the CF1's? CF1's are usually cheaper.

tech 3 race wheels.

I'v bought three sets from them in the past 1 1/2 years. the first was $640, the second was $670, the last about 4 months ago was $680. That includes shipping. They are really nice people to deal with.

There are two types of Hiper wheels: CF1's & Tech 3's

CF1's are designed for the recreational rider or amateur racer and are constructed entirely from carbon fiber. They are slightly lighter in weight compared to the Tech 3's but are not as strong.

As you can guess then, the Tech 3's are Hiper's original wheels designed for hard usage or for those who want a lightweight wheel that is still very strong ... great for racing MX or XC. They are mostly carbon fiber but with a billet center.

Both types are available in several different sizes with the fronts available in non-beadlock or single beadlock configurations and the rears available in non, single, or dual-beadlock designs.

I have the non beadlock cf1s up front and they have held up great. I race A class at nationals and have thrown everything at the wheels with no problems.
