i have a 05 450r, with hrc and sparks pipe. i am running tt. would a 41 mm fcr be worth the time and the MONEY. what kind of gains could i expect if any. has anyone added this carb with these mods. if so what did you think?

what i would do is try and land a deal on a 39mm yfz carb and have that bored out to a 43mm. the gains are huge from going from stock to a bored fcr. like 3-5 hp range.

When I put the 07 CRF FCR carb on my bike I noticed a massive seat of the pants difference.
And its only a stock 41mm.

Throttle response and mid range power felt much better.
Much bigger improvement then when I added a piston.

a fcr will give you better throttle response not 3-4 HP, think of it a bigger carb is going to give you more fuel and air right but your intake and exhuast can only handle what you go now so putting a bigger carb will only give you better throttle response your going to have to do some porting to get you more power. but the throttle response is really noticable thats for sure over the stock 04-05 carbs.

A 42 - 43.5 fcr *on a built motor* will net a healthy power increase. 3 or 4 hp range isn't unordinary...
