Very Strange caller ID name???

We were settin in a buddies garage today and the phone rings. He grabs it to see who is callin and the Caller ID says " DO NOT ANSWER" but it has a phone number. haha just kinda curious if anyone has seen this or has any clue what it was. like some kind of test call or what??

i never seen that before, i would have to think about answering though. thats making me wonder what it was though?

Caller ID is not secured. The text can be edited to say anything, especially if its one of those VOIP phones where it uses a cable modem to route the call.

that is because his family has put a block on telemarketers through the phone company so when ever they call it will come up as that

if it said do not answer i would answer it out of curiousity lol

like stated above, it either says that because yall have a privacy director for telemarketers, or certain names can be edited in a phone home to say whatever like a cell phone.
