86 /87 frame differences

I was thinking about doing the walsh conversion on my 87 250R for the cr500 link, but my frame is so sweet i hate to chop it up, i mean no pain missing all stickers etc,it would just be wrong
I found a nice 86, so I was curious if the 86 was the same as my 87?
