View Full Version : CHOKEwill not stay pulled out

I just put new jets in my 2006 trx450er (main, polit) just when up one sixe on both trying to dial it in after new pipe and top end .
Now the choke does not work it will not stay pulled out. Question why? and can i fix with out takeing all back apart?

mine was doing that too i realized that my carb wasnt lined up right and the frame wouldn't let the choke open all the way

Mine does the same thing, there's nothing in its way but it just won't stay out.

mine does the same thing on my yfz, and to fix it im pretty sure the carb has to come apart...but the choke still works so i haven't found any reason to waste time messing with it :confused:

nevermind you guys have kickers, guess it'd be a little more difficult to hold it out and try to kick it over :rolleyes:

if you will take your carb off the choke will un screw from the carb and there is a spring in there that gets all jacked up and keeps the chock from working right, they usallly fill up with mud....

Cool because mine is the same. Although if you have your bike jetted right, you don't need a choke.......

are yours on the carb or a cable like a utility honda bike? mine is on the carb and it stays out. but our utility quads wont stay pulled out.

i was asking everyone. do your guys chokes mount on the bars like the Ranchers and Rubicons or are they on the carb? mine is on the carb. i dont see how they dont stay out if theyre on the carb like mine. my old YFZ had the choke on the bars.
